People complain that the Internet is cold, impersonal, and not reflective
of true American culture. If you're looking for some warmth and humanity on
the Web, check out American Folk. This site is packed full of essays and
profiles of unique Americans, truly representing the rainbow that makes up
our country. I particularly enjoyed the RealAudio snippets that accompany
some essays, so you can hear 86-year-old Anton Pramberger describe the
pride he feels about his woodwork or Ethan Robinson explain why branding is
a part of his brotherhood. A nice slow spot on the information superhighway. (polished/RSF)
